BJÖRK AL MUSEO D’ARTE MODERNA

The Museum of Modern Art in NYC, presents a retrospective of the multifaceted work of Björk. The exhibition draws on more than 20 years of bold and innovative projects of the artist and his eight full-length album and the record of his career through music, movies, images, tools, objects and costumes. In the lobby of the museum are the tools used for Biophilia (2011) -a gameleste, pipe organ, harp and severity Tesla coil songs from the album at various points in the day. On the second floor, in the Marron Atrium, they were built two places: one is dedicated to a new audio and video installation, commissioned by The Museum of Modern Art for “Black Lake”, a song from the new album of Björk Vulnicura (2015); and the second is a movie theater that casts a retrospective in music videos, from Debut (1993) in Biophilia. On the third floor, it has a Songlines, interactive experience location-based audio through an album of Björk, with a biographical narrative that is both personal and poetic, written by the famous Icelandic writer Sjón, along with many images, objects and costumes, including where the robot designed by Chris Cunningham for “All is full of love” music video, and the Swan Dress Marjan Pejoski (2001), and also the custom of Iris van Herpen in Biophilia (2013), and many more.
